Our opinion on AXI

AXI is a global ECN broker for CFD trading. They are an excellent option for low spreads, fast execution and choice of trading platform; plus, they do not require a minimum deposit. Although they do not have direct copy trading or social trading, they allow algorithmic trading, scalping and hedging and offer an excellent VPS list. However, they have a limited range of 130 assets to trade.

Regarding copy and social trading, you can import strategies indirectly through its EA feature in the trading platform. However, it is a different interactive experience than you can find in some other dedicated brokers.

Pros and cons

Advantages

Although there are disadvantages, there are also advantages.

These include the fact that you will not have to make any minimum deposit and will have access to a good range of base currencies, such as AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, HKD, JPY, NZD, PLN, SGD USD, with which you can use a deep depth of liquidity at some of the fastest execution speeds in the industry.

Speaking of value, you will find a very low spread of 0 pips if you work with a Pro account and an equally competitive spread of 0.4 pips on standard accounts. The broker also offers various VPS options in ForexVPS, MetaTrader VPS, BeekSFX VPS and CNS.

Disadvantages

Some drawbacks or limitations are worth mentioning. The number of available assets, just over 130, may be a concern for some experienced traders, although the list includes currencies, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.

Depending on location, crypto asset trading may only be available to professional traders.

The research section lacks a certain depth compared to others. It is not available in all languages, and the copy trading and social trading functions are also limited.

Lastly, withdrawal times are known to take a little longer on some occasions, three days or more.

Advantages and disadvantages of AXI

The table below illustrates some of the important areas of the broker and the advantages and disadvantages of each:

AXI OFFER ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES
Demo Account Almost perfectly replicates the market environment in real time 30 day limit Capital is too high for regular users
Minimum deposit There is no minimum deposit; Good option for accounts with basic currencies A conversion fee may apply
Foreign exchange Low spreads from 0 pips Limited number of currency pairs available
ECN Very fast execution and low spreads ECN lot fee is above average ($7)
Platform (own) Multiple connectivity options Availability of assets depends on their location
Spread Betting No minimum deposit. Reduced assets
Scalping Broker with deep liquidity and low spreads Reduced assets
Automatic trading High-level functions It is not easy to use

ECN and Forex account review

Since AXI is an ECN broker, they usually offer very low spreads. There is also a $7 per lot commission on trades if you have a Pro account. Additionally, the execution speed is usually incredibly fast, and you don’t have to worry about receiving any requotes.

However, they have higher overnight fees due to the low spread. Either way, this means a spread of 0.4 pips on a standard account and 0 pips on a Pro account with a commission of $7.

There are over 50 currency pairs available, and the average spread with Pro accounts is just 0.2 pips on EUR/USD and 0.5 on GBP/USD, which is very low.

With this in mind, AXI is a great ECN broker option for ultra-low spreads. Instead, if you want a massive range of assets, there may be other, better options.

Advantages

  • The spreads are very low and start from 0 pips
  • Really fast execution speeds are provided
  • Over 50 currency pairs to trade

Disadvantages

  • The $7 per lot commission for Pro accounts is a bit higher than other brokers.

Trading Platform Review

They are exclusive to the Axis trading platform, which is an extremely easy-to-use trading platform called AxiOne. It is connected to 20+ liquidity providers for the best depth and fastest order execution.

The platform is fully integrated with many tools, services and connectivity options offered by Axi and meets the needs of all types of traders extremely well.

Here, you can trade all available assets, including forex, CFDs, spread betting and metals.

Therefore, Axi is a great choice if you prefer a feature-packed trading platform. However, there are better options if you are looking for direct copy trading.

axi trading platform
axi trading platform

Advantages

  • It offers an excellent trading platform
  • Many providers can access deep liquidity
  • Multi-asset trading is also offered

Disadvantages

  • Not all assets can be operated in any location

Spread Betting Review

Axi supports spread betting. However, it is only available to its UK and Ireland merchants due to regulatory requirements. You will be pleased to know that there is no minimum deposit required.

This makes AXI a great broker if you want to try spread betting starting at a low cost.

Advantages

  • No minimum deposit is required to start spread betting.

Disadvantages

  • Only available to UK and Ireland traders
  • Only offers a limited range of assets

Scalping Review

Again, AXI allows scalping. This means that if you are a scalper, the broker is an excellent choice thanks to the supportive environment, low spreads and fast ECN execution.

This is also supported by the large variety of charting tools and indicators offered by its platform and MT4, although the limited choice of assets can be an issue.

Advantages

  • You can access a wide range of useful scalping tools
  • Deep liquidity and fast execution help in the scalping process

Disadvantages

  • Again, there is a limited selection of assets for scalping.

Algorithmic Trading Review

Axis also supports algorithmic trading, which can be done very effectively through the MT4 trading platform’s EA feature.

The broker also offers numerous additional services to complement your trading, such as MyFxBook, API trading, Autochartists and AI-powered PsyQuation.

Therefore, AXI is an excellent choice for algorithmic trading, with numerous supporting features and a perfect operation environment.

Advantages

  • World-class trading platforms to make algorithmic trading convenient
  • Advanced trading tools can be accessed to help during the process

Disadvantages

  • The service is not as easy to use as some, requiring a steep learning curve.

Is Axis regulated and legal?

Regarding regulation, Axi recognizes the importance of trustworthy regulation for traders. The broker provides highly respected regulations from three key bodies. Depending on their location, the different broker entities are regulated by the following bodies.

  • Axi Limited (Axi) is regulated by the SV (25417)
  • AxiCorp Financial Services Pty Ltd is regulated by ASIC (318232) and the DFSA (F003742)
  • AxiCorp Limited is regulated by the FCA (509746)

This attention to regulation ensures maximum protection when conducting safe and secure operations on Axi.

Foundation and Offices

Axi is an Australian broker founded in 2007. Since then, it has grown to become a highly recognized benchmark in the sector and currently has a total of 5 physical locations spread around the world. These offices are located in:

  • Sydney (Australia)
  • Auckland (New Zealand)
  • London, United Kingdom)
  • Dubai (UAE)
  • Kingstown (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines)

This means Axi is well positioned for a global trader, regardless of location.

Money Protection

This strict regulation is one of many protection measures implemented by the broker. It also offers negative balance protection.

This means that you will not be able to lose more money than you have deposited into your account; however, if you have more than one account, the balance in one account can be used to cover the balance in another.

For example, if you have two accounts, one with a balance of $500 and another with a balance of $200, your balance can become -500$ in the other account because you have enough balance to cover it.

The coverage account balance will be deducted to reflect this situation.

To increase your protection, the broker always uses segregated accounts. This means that should the broker become bankrupt or insolvent, your money will always be safe. The availability of ICF insurance for UK traders reinforces this policy.

Should something happen, this insurance covers funds up to £85,000.

Awards

Axi is also an award-winning broker. He has received many awards throughout his years in the sector.

Among them, those received in recent years the award for the Most Reliable Broker (UK Forex Awards 2018), the Best Asian Forex Trading Platform (Global Forex Awards, 2019), the Most Transparent Forex Broker – Middle East (forex -awards.com, 2019), and Best Forex Broker – Europe (forex-awards.com, 2019).

It is always positive to deal with a respected and recognized broker in the sector.
